Public Safety and Dentistry

The words public safety are not often associated with dentistry.  However they should be.  Just like any other type of surgery the safety of the patient must be the primary focus.  Your dental procedure may be much more complicated than just a check-up, a cleaning, or a simple filling and your dental facility needs to be up-to-the-minute with their safety measures.

At Blackman and Bliss DDS your safety is our primary concern.  The office continually maintains its OSHA and HIPPA status and is constantly implementing procedures and precautions to benefit our patients.  In addition to national safety certifications that have been received for our dental practice our staff is CPR certified and we use only digital X-rays to limit radiation exposure.

The bottom line is when you visit the office of Blackman and Bliss your safety and future health is our utmost concern.  That is a very comfortable feeling.  Discover for yourself that extra mile that makes all the difference.  Call Blackman and Bliss for an appointment at their office at 400 North Gary Ave. in Carol Stream at (630) 260-0333.

Sensitive Teeth

Having sensitive teeth and gums is quite common.  This will rear its ugly head even more in the upcoming colder months.  Did you know that one in four people in the United States suffer from sensitive teeth?  So remember this does not necessarily mean that you have neglected your oral health it is merely a malady that tens of millions of Americans suffer from.

There are many contributing factors to sensitive teeth and, fortunately many solutions to this common problem.  Deterring the cause is the most important.  Tooth and gum sensitivity can be the result of gum disease, plaque, and tartar build up.  Once we determine which factor has caused it then the course of action may be implemented.

It is important to trust a family dentist in Chicagoland that has the experience and resources for all dental issues.  We have all been guilty in our lives of ignoring mouth pain and trying to put it off hoping it will go away.  Don’t hesitate!  Call Blackman and Bliss DDS today at (630) 260-0333 or stop by our office at 400 North Gary Ave. in Carol Stream to make an appointment.
